The #LookUpChallenge is a movement to spread awareness about various inequalities around the world and our community. We are emphasizing the use of multimedia through video, art, and social media to express our message. We encourage other schools to embrace the challenge and be an advocate for change.
As apart of Saline High School, we have the purpose of spreading awareness of racial and social inequalities through art. We are doing so by painting statistics and images on ceiling tiles around our school. In an effort to strike more people, we have also created the #LookUpChallenge on social media, such as Twitter and Instagram. We are reaching out to a younger population by creating social media accounts to get this challenge rising. Turning it into a challenge helps spread the idea through other schools faster and more efficiently.
If you choose to accept our challenge, we invite you to create your own twist on the #LookUpChallenge throughout your school or workplace. That could look like painting your own ceiling tiles or hanging posters, get creative with it. As leaders, we want to thank you for committing to the challenge and working to reduce inequality. We also rely on you to keep the movement going by challenging other schools.
